Once, the roads of Toronto stayed clean and clear. Vehicles never needed to swivel around mysterious creatures to the unknown. In fact, Vampires and Werewolves were not a concern at all, since at the time they were sober. The world surrounding was congruent and peaceful... at least the citizens thought so. School was never canceled, financial issues were rare, homes were safe no matter what ground of space they rested on, humans only talked about homework and teachers or friend drama, parents let there children run around in the front and back yard... this was before the happening. This was before the battlefield had awoken. Before the war.
What caused the battlefield to starve for a fight? Here's why.
WEREWOLVES:
Werewolves were spread across the world in various places. China, North and South America, Africa, Russia, and furthermore. They lived in peace and often joined with regular wolves with their packs. They had their normal human lives of course, when they wanted, but they still had their wolf life. They would create their own packs and live as normal wolves. In human form, they would have their pack hang as a group at houses. This was when they were allowed to go to school and have jobs. When they didn't have to worry about ambush or killing or having to find one of their friends dead. The Werewolves have their tales about the Vampires. The Werewolves had no problem with Vampires, they had never had any concern or issues with them except for ledgends. They were just another species living in the world. Some of the Werewolves started mysteriously disappearing, but only when they were in wolf form. Never had a Werewolf died of an unknown power in human form. Most of this happened in North America, but some reports came from Russia. This was passed on to the Ultimate Alphas, the leaders of every Werewolf. They soon began to take consideration of their so called, "tales." The Ultimate Alphas gave word to the the Werewolves to go into training. It started immediately. Not too long after this, they actually had encounters with the Vampires. Vampires were coming to the packs and stealing goods, resources, and threatened their lands. They threatened that they would take over and rule out the Werewolves for using up their earthly grounds and nature. For being so opposite. This infuriated them and they prepared themselves for an unclaimed battle that had yet to be discussed.
VAMPIRES:
The Vampires were also spread across the world. The main population was in North America and Australia. There was also quite a large variety of them in Russia. There were other locations of course. The Vampires, as they still don't, didn't really go into human society. Surprisingly, it was very rare for a Vampire to kill and/or eat a human. In fact, only three reports of this matter had happened, but from the truly evil and mentally disturbed Vampires. They stayed in woods and alleys where no human walked. They hunted for animals, including wolves, to fill their stomachs. They weren't "evil." They only tried to survive. They didn't worry about Werewolves as Werewolves didn't concern about them, but they were aware of the packs of normal wolves. For some reason, wolves had great aggression towards the Vampires any time one saw another. Mainly because the species were close together, location wise, and often fought over territory and resources. Food and water was limited. This made the Vampires hate them and kill them not only for food, but for revenge for aggression. Many Vampires were killed by wolves. Once they got the hang of killing these creatures, they started unknowingly killing Werewolves in whom they didn't know were in their areas. The unconditional habit stopped as word came to them what was going on. They were indeed fighting against the Werewolves. Now that they were also planning to take over the Werewolves, there were a few reasons for this. Humans hated Vampires, as most of them still do. Whenever a human were to spot a Vampire in a town anywhere or in public, they would scream and call the cops. This was mainly due to stories and discrimination. Vampires hated the negativity towards them, especially because most humans loved Werewolves. For some unknown reasoning to the Vampires, humans welcomed Werewolves into towns for parties, or just hanging out at a restaurant. Vampires thought it was a plan for the Werewolves to that the Werewolves would be the ones to stay in population and/or be the ones to stay in any kind of war. The Vampires thought the Werewolves had a secret to the humans liking them and that the Vampires would be the ones to go extinct or be killed by humans and Werewolves. This infuriated them and they prepared themselves for an unclaimed battle that had yet to be won.
HUMANS:
Some humans believed that Vampires were really just demons in humanoid bodies. These humans were called vaccinators. Their goal is to cleanse the Vampires' souls and give their human selves back to Earth, and out of the Devil's captivity. Werewolves, were just mystic beasts that were in no relation to the humans whatsoever. Just thought I'd led you know.
Now, unexplained killing was not, as a matter of fact, the reason of the war starting. As the killing went on, the councils were meeting up to discuss. Soon enough, both the Werewolf and Vampire Councils met up to speak. It started neutral as they discussed the stealing of goods, resources, and territory. But it started to become a mass argument as they kept speaking more about the killing and threatening. As more arguments took place between the two species, they came to an agreement. The killing would stop, the stealing would be over with, and the threatening will be seized. As long as it will be out of the boundaries of the upcoming event. The war. They are to awaken the battlefield. Now the only killing that is allowed to be done is in one town. The town of Toronto, in an area just up a hill connected to the freeway entrance to the town. And if anyone dares to leave or kill someone out of Toronto, they are to be executed. No matter how hard it is for their leader to do it. They must pay the price. Now... the Battlefield has taken its first sight of day and the two sides fight for their lives. Whoever wins will gain all of the resources, goods, territory, HEALTH, strength, and most of all... freedom. As long as you run. Run... Across The Battlefield.
